Mrs. Varnum

My name is Renee Varnum.  I am currently a individual and small group reading teacher at Ellsworth Hill Elementary School.  I love reading with the children on a daily basis and watching them succeed.  I began my teaching career in Hudson as a long-term subsitute in second grade at McDowell Elementary School.  From there I went on to teach first grade in Solon for a year and am now back at Ellsworth teaching the subject I love the most - reading.

I received my undergraduate degree in accounting from John Carroll University.  After working in the accounting world for several years, I realized how much I wanted to be in the classroom working with students.  I then received my Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Ursuline College and pursued my K-12 Reading Endorsement after I had completed my Master's Degree.
