Hi! My name is Lori Tubero and I am an ART teacher at East Woods. I have been teaching in Hudson for 22 years. I previously taught elementary art in the Columbus area and the Lodi area totaling 6 years.
I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree (Art Education) from Kent State University and a Masters degree from Marygrove College (Art of Teaching).
I love teaching art to young children.
The picture above is a portrait of me drawn by a first grader. Jay drew this picture in his free time. He is showing me at my easel where I usually introduce the art lesson to the children. The rectangle with colorful squares next to me is the carpet that the children sit on when at the easel. I am holding two hearts. This was a lesson I was introducing at the time of the drawing. Jay included my eyeglasses on the top of my head and the little desk beside the easel that I keep my examples on.
Check back for news for my new 4th and 5th grade art students!

First grade 50th birthday mural

This colorful dinosaur was created by a kindergarten student named Ryan. He had to create something new out of the first letter of his name. He turned his letter "R" in all directions before discovering a mouth. He then decided that the mouth belonged to a yellow dinosaur!
NICE JOB RYAN!

Another kindergarten student used the letter M to create a box of crayons!
Katie drew these three people showing action by bending the arms and the legs.
Katie is in the first grade.
