Mr. Sires P.E.
Mr. Sires graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1984. He obtained his Masters in Environmental Science from Akron University in 1998. Marty is listed in the Who's Who of American Teachers. Mr. Sires was a long time coach in Basketball, Track, and Lacrosse. Marty was the Akron City Series Coach of the Year in Basketball in 1990 while Head Coach at Akron North.
Mr. Sires teaches 4th. and 5th. grade Physical Education at East Woods. Mr. Sires also developed and teaches the extremely popular Lifetime Fitness class offered to High School students in the summer. In this class students learn activities they can enjoy as they age and stay active.
His hobbies include Motorcycling, Mountain Biking, Skiing, Rafting, Hiking, and everything outdoors. Marty is a PSIA Level II ski instructor, WSI in water safety, and a instructor for the Fasttrax Motorcycle Racing School.
