Mrs. Senk

 

Welcome to first grade!  I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as your child's first grade teacher.  My name is Tara Senk, and I am thrilled to have your child in my classroom this year.  Some of my interests include playing tennis, gardening, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on the Ohio State Buckeyes!  I am also the proud owner of a black lab/setter mix named Savannah and a german short-haired pointer mix named Foster that I fostered and later adopted..

I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education 1-8 from The University of Akron and a Master's in Reading Specialization from Nova Southeastern University.  I continue to take courses to further my education.

I have been teaching in the District for the past nine years.  I began my educational career as a fourth grade teacher at East Woods.  I then took a third grade position at McDowell Elementary.  Now, I feel privileged to be teaching first grade at Evamere Elementary.

I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year.  My classroom is an exciting place filled with compassion, laughter and a love of learning.
