HCSD Technology
Each classroom has a Desktop Computer with:
- Filtered internet access (Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Safari)
- Audio and video out to a projector and amplified speaker
- A document camera
- Software including Microsoft Office (XP or X) which includes Word, PowerPoint, and Excel,)
- Regional laser printers throughout the building
Each classroom has a digital video projector with VCR and closed circuit cable television. Channel listing is on the district library webpage at www.hudson.edu/media
Student computers are available for shared use in each media center and also in:
- High School: Media Center 2 netbook carts (30 PCs), labs by dept (25 PCs): C202 English, A112 Math, B104 World Language, laptop carts (15 PCs) by dept: 2 Math, 2 Special Ed, netbook carts (30 PCs): 2 Social Studies, 1 English, and 6 laptops per Science classroom.
- Middle School: A222 (15 Macs), B226 (25 Macs), 1 laptop cart (15 Mac or PCs) per team, 1 Integrated Literacy netbook cart (30 PCs), 6 laptops per Science classroom.
- East Woods: 1 laptop cart (15 Macs) per 2 teams, 1 Media Center netbook cart (30 PCs)
- McDowell: C12 (25 Macs), 4 Mac laptops per homeroom
- Ellsworth Hill: B2 (25 Macs), 4 Mac laptops per homeroom
- Evamere: B1 (25 Macs), iPads approaching 4 per classroom as part of a pilot project
