Do you have students with autism and other disabilities who would benefit from a social skills assessment and tips for receiving constructive feedback?

Have you considered the environmental demands that are important to making a good job match for an individual?

Have you considered teaching topics such as social interactions, coping strategies, bullying and harassment in the workplace?

JobTIPS is a free online program designed to help individuals with autism and other disabilities explore career interests, seek and obtain employment, and successfully maintain employment. JobTIPS addresses the social and behavioral differences that might make identifying, obtaining, and keeping a job more difficult.

This program (including all of the printables, assessments, and videos) is suitable for delivery by teachers, family members, clinicians, mentors, and job coaches.  It includes ideas for personal appearance, interactions with co-workers, coping strategies, and workplace bullying and harassment. High school students with disabilities can learn about planning for college at this new site. Videos include interviews with successful college students with disabilities; activities help students explore more about themselves, learn what to expect from college, and discover important considerations and tasks to complete when planning for college. The site is from the Virginia Commonwealth University Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Workplace Supports and Job Retention. It was developed under a grant from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services.
