Hello! My name is Mrs. Linda Orwig. I am a third grade teacher at McDowell Elementary School in Hudson, Ohio.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio. I received my Master's Degree in Elementary Curriculum and Instruction from Ashland University in Ashland, Ohio. I was awarded the Hudson Distinguished Teacher Award in 2002. I also became a Jennings Scholar awarded from the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation in the school year 2002-2003.

I consider myself a life long learner with over +50 graduate hours since the completion of my Master's Degree. In the summer of 2006, I completed and received my Reading Endorsement from the state of Ohio.

My home away from home is my classroom. From day one of a new school year I work hard to embrace every individual student, so that we can become a community of learners working, having fun learning, and growing together. I also believe strongly in the connection and support from every parent. Together we can!

I live in Hudson with my husband. Our two children have graduated from high school and college and are currently working in their chosen careers. I have a love for reading, gardening, and being outdoors in the warm weather.
