This is a reminder that your Intro and Thesis Statment are due on Monday, March 12. Please continue to reference the DWA Packet with the Calendar on the front through the end of the week! Your research papers are due by Thursday afternoon, March 15.

Hay una prueba de estar, articles, and plurals of nouns on your block day this week. For 2nd period, this is Thurs. El Examen 2B es viernes, el 2 de diciembre por todas las clases.

Hay una prueba lunes el 21 de noviembre sobre vocabulario. Parte I es "matching a Spanish word to a picture." Hay 10 palabras y 10 fotos. Parte II es "multiple choice." Hay 8 preguntas.

El próximo examen es el 30 de noviembre/1 de diciembre. 

AVISO para viernes el  4 de noviembre:  homework updates

Para lunes, el 7 de noviembre por favor recuerda lo siguiente:

1.) XL Book Cover or Paper Bag in order to sign out a textbook for the year.

2.) Your typed "email" assignment. Remember to use MLA format and to bring the rough draft with you to class.

3.) Your vocabulary quiz will be on Monday, November 7. Sections include:

a.) Match the time of day with the logical class period: primera, segunda, tercera....décima.

b.) Mark if a statement could be lógico o ilógico. Ejemplo 1: Tengo mucha tarea para el almuerzo. (ilógico) You don't get homework at lunch. Ejemplo 2: Necesito una calculadora para la clase de español. (ilógico) You don't need a calculator for Spanish class. Ejemplo 3: La profesora Mesmer enseña la clase de español. (lógico) I do teach Spanish class.

c.) Fill in the blank with words from the word bank. Ejemplo: Tengo mucha tarea en la clase de ____________ (There is a picture of a girl showing a novel.) Respuesta: inglés

We are going to try to begin completing homework assignments on your e-workbook. This week I have posted an assignment to be due on Thursday by 11:59p.m. Please access this activity. Regardless if you are having difficulty with it, I will see that you logged into your account and began the activity. The e-workbook has great activities to help you practice and extend your knowledge of studying Spanish beyond the classroom. Let's work together to get online!

Hello class. I am aware that you are working diligently to access your account and assignments on realidades.com. There seems to be some difficulty with accessing the assigned activities.

Please be patient and please take a moment to read through the following:

• Usernames and passwords are case sensitive. For example:              smithjoe@hudson
• If you are using a PC, you must use Internet Explorer.
• If you are using a Mac, you must use Safari. Realidades uses version 5.05 and previous versions, nothing newer. 
• If you continue to have problems with a MAC, use a PC at school. The laptops work!
• Check that Java is updated 1.5 http://javatester.org/or going directly to http://www.java.com/en/download/index.jsp.  This is a free download. This will test your browser.
• Make sure that you unblock pop-ups.
