Kindergarten is an exciting time for your child and you.  Do you remember picking out a new notebook, opening a fresh box of crayons and meeting your kindergarten teacher for the first time?  You probably are wondering whom this person is that I have trusted with helping to shape my child's future.  My name is Mrs. Gigi Kostoff and welcome to our classroom, G-6.

I have been teaching kindergarten for 28 years.  I have my Bachelors in Elementary Education and my Masters in Elementary Administration, and received both degrees from the University of Akron.  My husband and I have three sons, an eighteen year old that just began his first year at The University of Dayton,  a seventeen-year old in his senior year and a nine-year old in fourth grade in Revere schools.   Please encourage your child to look through the backpack with you every day so that not only do they learn responsibility but can share with you what exciting things happened in our classroom during the day.  An excellent way to contact me is by email at kostoffg@hudson.edu.  I try to check this every morning before our day begins or at lunch time before my afternoon class comes to school.

I look forward to a wonderful year and know that your child and you will enjoy it as well.  Remember, "all that I ever needed to know I learned in kindergarten", starts today.
