Sunday July 11: Hello from Florence!

We finally got a hold of some internet to make an update!  Everyone is having a great time despite the high temperature (100 today).  Cremona was fabulous.  The Stradaveri experience and small town atmosphere was the perfect start to the trip to acclimate everyone to the culture and force the language barrier to be broken down.  

Last night we went through Tuscany to the medevil town of Sam Gimigano for a fabulous dinner and even better concert than you heard on Wednesday.  It was a large and very educated audience that sang along and cried at times to their favorites from the opera.

We spent today in Florence and tomorrow will let them loose to shop some more as the museums are closed.  Look for some more updates as we arrive in Rome day after tomorrow.  Maybe some more available internet at that tim, too.

Wednesday July 7: Informance begins @ 6 p.m. in the HHS band room.  Immediately following the music final instructions for Thursday travel will be given followed by a chaperone meeting.  It will will all end by 8 p.m.
