Hudson Parent Partnership-C.A.R.E.
The Hudson Parent Partnership (HPP) was established in 2004 by a group of parents concerned about the proliferation of substance abuse and other destructive behaviors exhibited in our youth, and the lack of a coordinated community effort to thwart these activities. The intent of the organization was to reduce substance abuse by educating parents, students, teachers, and school administrators about the dangers of use. In addition, the organization would act as a networking resource and conduit between community resources and stakeholders.
In 2005, the group was approached by the Hudson City School Administration and asked to take over stewardship of C.A.R.E., an organization that was established in 1981, and whose name is an acronym that identifies its mission, Chemical Abuse Reduced by Education. CARE was a registered section 501c(4) not-for-profit organization.
In 2005, the groups were consolidated and re-registered with the State of Ohio as Hudson Parent Partnership/Hudson CARE as a 501c(4) not-for-profit organization.
