Welcome to my web page!

A little about me..... I have lived in Hudson for 20 years.  For the past 15 years I have worked in the Hudson City School District.  This year will be especially exciting for me!  It will be my first year teaching our science curriculum with 6th grade students.  I find science exciting and look forward to investigating new topics with my students.

We will be starting the year with a unit on soil.  Following the soil unit we will focus on rocks and minerals.  Before we start our unit on microbiology we will take time to investigate the relationship between the environment and the economy.  The year will end with an exploration of energy sources.

Most of our work will be done in the classroom.  Occasionally, a student might have to finish analysis questions that were started during our class lab time.  Students are always welcome to redo work that they have passed in if they feel they could have done better.

More about Me

A Senegal parrot and an adorable shih tzu wait for me to return from school each day!  Mango, the parrot, is  staying with me while my youngest son is in college.  Patrick, the shih tzu, was a Mother's Day present to myself in 2008!  Not a day goes by that he doesn't make me smile at his crazy antics.  Last Spring he became certified as a therapy dog through Therapy Dogs International.  He keeps me busy volunteering at Laurel Lake and being a part of the Tail Wagging Tutors program at the Hudson Library.
