The School Social Worker is a vital part of the educational team in the Hudson City School District; and as such,

collaborates with students, families, teachers, administrators, counselors, psychologists, nurses, and other staff. 

The school social worker attempts to integrate information from these sources with the student's overall social, emotional,

behavioral and adaptive functioning in school, at home, and within the community to develop a Whole Child Focus.

The school social worker's unique training and perspective enables her to understand the interaction of the individual

and his/her environment.
