Hearing and Vision Screenings are mandated by the Ohio Department of Health for the following students:

 

  • All Kindergarten, grades 1, 3, 5, 7(vision only), and 9
  • All new students to the district (if no screening record for the previous 12 months exists).
  • All teacher referrals
  • All students in the MFE process

Scoliosis Screenings are not mandated, but recommended by the Ohio Department of Health for students in grades 5-8.  Family physicians will screen for scoliosis through adolescence during routine physicals.
