Welcome to Room A-1's website! I am Mrs. Catalano-Jones (A.K.A....Mrs.C-J) and I can't wait to begin a new school year ! I have been teaching second grade in the Hudson City Schools for twenty years. I attended the Hudson Schools from fourth grade through high school. Then I earned my Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education from Miami University and my Masters Degree in Education from Marygrove College.
This is my twenty fourth year of teaching. My teaching career began at Our Lady of Good Counsel School in Cleveland where I taught second grade. I have taught second grade at Evamere Elementary, Hudson Elementary and I currently teach second grade at Ellsworth Hill Elementary School.
My husband and I have two wonderful children. My daughter Isabel is a sophomore in high school and my son Cameron is in fifth grade. We love to travel, kayak, hike, and play games together. My favorite hobbies are traveling, reading and making crafts.
In Room A-1, we will work together (students, parents and teachers) to create an atmosphere of cooperation and support. My goal for every child in my class is to help them become confident, problem solvers and to experience success in the classroom every day.
