On behalf of our 8th graders, THANK YOU to all the parents who worked so hard to bring "New York Nights" to HMS for their Lock-In.  It was truly a night they will never forget.  THANK YOU!

7th graders - We need your votes!  Beginning Wednesday, 2nd period and ending on Friday, you are asked to make your voice heard by voting for your 8th Grade Tee Shirt design.  These designs can be seen in the display case located near the Commons.  Voting takes place during AM studyhalls, lunch, and team support.  You can vote for only one design.  Please take this opportunity to exercise your right to vote!

On Wednesday, 5/23, during 1st period, any 8th grade student who signed up to take Honors English 9 for next year should report to the auditorium for information from the 9th grade English teachers.

HMS students - During the week of 5/21-5/25, we are bringing back the popular Sit With A Friend During Studyhall for $1!  The proceeds from this week will go directly to one of our own HMS families.  A fellow student of ours, Logan Pitney, has been facing significant medical challenges this year, and this $ will help him and his family pay for his care.  As an HMS family, we appreciate your kindness and compassion in this situation.  In honor of Logan, please remember to bring $1 (or any donation you might wish to make), for "Logan's Study Hall Week"!

Any 8th grade girls interested in trying out for the High School Tennis team in the fall will need to sign up at lunch or see Miss Kampf in the PE office.

District posts Safe School Hotline Information on Website!  The safety and security of our students and staff is our number one priority. To help prevent activities that could negatively impact our schools, we have worked many years with Security Voice, Safe Schools Helpline, an outside company, with no ties to our schools. This is an anonymous helpline that you can use to let us know about and try to prevent problems before they occur. We have added a new "Safe Schools Helpline" button (white with red letters) on the main page of the district web site and on each building's web page. Listed on the page are three ways, either phone, text or Internet, to report acts such as violence, theft, drug or alcohol use, sexual harassment, weapons, bully behavior, etc.  If you are not comfortable reporting these types of incidence, or information to our staff, please consider using this secure, anonymous service. Please, if you see, read, or hear something that threatens our school safety, please say something!
