On Wednesday, February 15, at 8:00 a.m. all Freshmen are required to attend an assembly presented by Akron Children's Hospital about dating violence prevention, cyberbullying and sexting. Due to the nature of these topics, we will have boys report to the main gym and girls will report to the auditorium. Sophomores and Parents! Students interested in the College Tech Prep Initiatives offered by our Six District Educational Compact should attend "Conversation with Parents and Tenth Grade Students" on Thursday, February 16, at Roosevelt High School. The Booster's Club All-You-Can-Eat Spaghetti Dinner will be this Sunday from 3:00 -7:00 p.m. in the High School Commons. There will be a raffle, Corn Hole Tournament and Shopping Extravaganza. Tickets are $8 adults; $4 for children under 12. Tickets can be purchased in advanced from any HHS athlete, at the door, or by contacting Melody at 234-380-1194. All proceeds from this event go to the Hudson Athletic Booster Club and benefits all High School and Middle School athletes.
EXTRACURRICULAR ACTIVITIES:
Hansel and Gretel’s Fantastic Fairy Tale Mix Up is tonight at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday at 2:00 p.m. There is no intermission and the show runs about one hour. Tickets are $4 pre-sale and at the door. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased outside the entrance of the Main Office today from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
There will be a Health and Wellness meeting Tuesday after school in one of the health rooms. Please attend if you can make it.
Students in Ms. Banks-Burke's 1st Semester Multimedia Class can pick up an updated report card from Mrs. Aubrecht in the Records Office. Also, see Ms. BBB for your envelope of materials.
Project Support will be going to see Hansel & Gretel on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in our auditorium. Come join us for a fun filled hour. Plan to meet at 1:30 p.m. in front of the auditorium at the "E" entrance. Sign-up in W-70 (Sweet Sensations) or call extension 3316.
Random Acts of Kindness will sell tickets for their raffle during lunch today!. Prizes include IPOD Touch, an Android tablet, and 2 free Woodard Photography Packages. All proceeds go to the Akron Food Bank.
Hudson High School's new and improved Talent Show will be held on March 14 in the auditorium. If you would like to be part of this amazing evening and possibly win a cash prize, auditions will be held February 22 and 23. Don't be left out - get your act together and try out!
Help Sweet Sensations Cafe purchase a smoothie maker by bringing in Acme receipts dated 9/24/11 through 2/11/12. Bring your receipts to W-70 or the collection box in the Commons.

Guidance has information about a Mock Crime Scene Workshop held on Saturday, March 24, from 9 - 3 at Waynesburg University in Pennsylvania. This event is free and lunch is provided.

Applications for next year's Service Learning class are due today! All juniors are encouraged to apply. Consider making a difference in the lives of others during your senior year by stepping outside of the Hudson Bubble!

Contestants participating in the Rotary 4-Way Speech Contest: should drop off a copy of your speech in Mrs. Dunker's room, C-218, by Friday, February 17, for feedback and as a sign of your commitment to delivering your speech on February 23.
Tri-C is hosting a Construction Skilled Trades Expo on February 22 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. that will feature representatives from skilled trades locals and apprenticeship programs. Pick up a flyer in the guidance office for more information.
Juniors are invited to attend the NE Ohio Spring College Fair on February 21, from 9:30-11:00 a.m. at The University of Akron Student Rec Center. Parking is available in Lot 8 or 10 behind the Rec Center. If you plan to attend, submit an Advanced Absence form.
