- Study Guides and Strategies
- TEACHERS-Teachers are the first resource to go to when having problems in class. All teachers at Hudson High School are available for extra help during the day, before and after school. You just need to ask! Additional help can be found on individual teacher web pages: www.hudson.edu, select high school, departments, teachers who are underlined offer specific class information including help links.
- ARC-The Academic Resource Center is available to all students any period of the day, any day of the week in room A106 for academic assistance or a quiet place to study.
- NHS TUTORING- National Honor Society student(s) will be available everyday of the week, every period of the day in the ARC in room A106.
- AST-AFTER SCHOOL TUTORING- Open Mon. & Wed. 2:30 – 3:15 PM and Tue. & Thur. 2:30 – 4:25 in room A106. Mrs. Carol Neff is available to help students get back on track and to provide academic support. NHS tutors are also available in AST to help students.
- MATH LAB- The Math Lab is located in room A113 next to the math office. A math teacher staffs it every period of the day. Students use the lab for drop-in homework assistance or similar specific math help. The math lab is also used as a make-up test and quiz center. Ninth and tenth grade students desiring to use the lab should get a pass from their math teacher or study hall monitor.
- WRITING CLINIC- With computers and Internet access, the Writing Lab, located in room C202, is open to all students throughout the school day. English teachers assist students with their writing by addressing their specific questions and concerns. Freshmen and sophomores need a pass from study hall to take advantage of this service. “Walk-ins” are
- MATH HELP- www.classzone.com – This website supports the new Algebra I and Geometry textbook used at HHS. Look here for extra practice, the @HomeTutor tutorial feature and practice tests and quizzes. HOTMATH.COM- Use the password de40404ac to log into this helpful website for Adv Alg and higher level maths. There are answers to problems found in the math textbooks, along with helpful tutorials.
- www.classzone.com – The HHS Spanish books are online and can provide addition help. welcomed.
- PRIVATE TUTORS- Go to the www.hudson.edu. Go to High School, Information, General HHS Information, and Tutoring.
- THE HOMEWORK CONNECTION - Free math and Language Arts tutoring at the Hudson Public Library. Mondays 3:00-5:00 PM and 7:00-8:30 PM. Tuesdays 7:00-8:30PM.
