Juniors!  Woodard Photographic will hold an assembly in the auditorium on Wednesday, May 30, at 9:00 a.m. to share information regarding your Senior Portrait.  Don't miss out on being included for free portrait sessions and other pertinent information.

Parking Applications for the 2012-13 school year can be submitted online on the High School website beginning Monday,  May 21.  Current Sophomores wishing to take part in the "Junior Lot Raffle" must apply online between May 21 and June 1, closing at 4:00 p.m. The Junior lot will be available for parking on the first day of school.  Students will be able to pay for parking passes during all lunch periods from May 30 through June 5 in front of the Auditorium.  To purchase a parking pass, students will need to bring $25 (checks preferably), a valid driver's license, and a self-addressed stamped envelope. Passes will be mailed in August, prior to school. Winners of the "Junior Raffle" will need to purchase their parking passes in the same manner before the first day of school, or they will forfeit their Junior lot pass.  Please stop by the Main Office if you have any questions.    


EXTRACURRICULAR:

The Fellowship of Christian Athletes will meet at the home of Zach Johnson on Thursday, 17 May, at 7 pm. All are welcome. Maps are available outside room A-105.

The last Model UN meeting will be in A-204, Ms Rudesal's room, next Thursday, May 24, right after school. New members are welcome. Old and new officers must attend.

Sweet Sensations Cafe will be open Tuesday Explorer Periods and Wednesday mornings through May 23.  This week's smoothie flavor is Outrageous Orange.  Stop down to W-70 for breakfast or a snack!

Auditions for the dance line of the 2012 Hudson Marching Band will be held May 24, 25 and 29.  Students interested in auditioning should come to the band room to receive a flyer with important information about the auditions.


ATHLETICS:

All those interested in trying out for Cheerleader:   Clinic dates are May 16, 7:00–8:30 p.m., May 17, 4:00-5:30 p.m., May 21, 7:00-8:30 p.m . and May 22, 4:00-5:30 p.m.   Evaluation dates are May 23, 6:00-8:30 pm; May 24, 4:00-6:30 p.m.; May 29, 4:00-6:30 p.m. and May 31, 6:00-8:30 p.m.  All candidates should bring a completed emergency medical form to the first practice.


SENIORS:

Seniors!  Be sure to check the Guidance Office  window to see if the correct notations have been made by your name for the graduation program.

Attention Seniors!  Tickets for after prom may be picked up on Thursday and Friday this week in the commons during all lunch periods.  There is no charge for the tickets, but you must have a ticket to attend this fun event!  Don't forget to pick yours up!   Remember, you can go to after prom even if you do not attend the prom.

Seniors!  Honor your favorite teachers during Teacher Appreciation Day by cleaning out a locker and  recycling your bottles, cans, and used books.  Ms. Banner, Mr. Tawney, Mr. Carmichael, and Mr. Chorian would like you to recycle.  Bring your school supplies to donate to room C-218. 

Seniors:   By completing the graduation survey you indicate to us your plans after you graduate.  If you do not want your plans to be published anywhere, be sure to let your Guidance Counselor or Administrator know.

Seniors: Don't forget to complete the mandatory surveys in Naviance.  The two surveys are called Graduation Survey and Senior Survey.  These must be completed by May 25.

Seniors:  We need your help!   If you know ahead of time that you will not be using the entire (5) tickets you will be receiving at Graduation Rehearsal, please let the Main Office know immediately.  Thank you!

COMMUNITY GROUPS:

Hudson STEM Alliance is hosting the STEM Varsity Letter Awards and 2012-13 Program Kickoff tonight at 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. in the  High School Commons. We will be giving out the Varsity STEM Letters to students for the first year. Notification letters will be sent out to recipients week of May 7. The program will include a demo from the BSOD (Blue Screen of Death Robot Team) and information about starting other FTC High School robot teams. We will also kick off 2013 Project Fair schedule and a new Programming contest. HSA is asking for suggestions from the community on programs that you would like for us to concentrate on so come with your suggestions. Contact SheilaKing@HudsonSTEM.org with questions or comments.

Hudson PTO is Looking for YOU!  The success of Hudson PTO comes from outstanding volunteers and you can help! Positions are currently available for the 2012–2013 school year. Volunteers are needed on PTO Committees like Run for the Schools, Elementary Supply Kits, MS Supply Sale, and Right to Read Weeks,  as well as helping plan activities and coordinate special events in all buildings.   You can visit www.HudsonPTO.org, under the “Volunteer” tab, for the nomination form. PTA is seeking nominations for 2012-2013 Executive Board - The Hudson PTA is seeking members for executive board positions for the next school year.  PTA’s mission is child advocacy with the goal of providing relevant programs that support the students, teachers and community.  Interested candidates can e-mail Lisa Dalea at lmdhome@windstream.net.
