Class rings will be delivered on Thursday (12/19), during lunch periods in the Commons. Ring orders will be taken as well. Order packets are in the Main Office.
The Snowflake Dance is this Saturday (12/7), at 8:00 p.m. Tickets will be on sale this Wednesday through Friday during all lunch periods. Prices are: $10, single; $15, with a date; $20 at the door. Today is "Ugly Holiday Sweater" Spirit Day! Wear your ugliest holiday sweater and come to the Snowflake Dance this Saturday (12/7), to claim your 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prize!
HHS launches the EPA (Explorer Persistence Award) next week! A student in each grade will be recognized for unsurpassed persistence/perseverance each month. Students can nominate a teacher who goes above/beyond! Submit your choice to the office by this Friday (12/6).
On Line Fee Update: If you have not paid your FALL student fees yet, the Hudson City School District has set a deadline of Monday, December 2, 2013, for the payment of any outstanding FALL student fees and/or FALL student participation and activity fees. While many parents paid fall fees with checks, the district waived the payment due date until the on line fee payment system was operational. On line fee payment for student fees began November 4, 2013. Please visit your student's account on the Home Access Center or MyPaymentsPlus to check for fee information. Parents may also pay by check (payable to Hudson City Schools) in the main office of your child's school.
Winter student participation and activity fees (where applicable), are also being collected at this time. Please watch for fees to be posted in Home Access Center or MyPaymentsPlus. In addition, students are expected to pay fees for participation in winter sports before the first contest of the season.
Join HHS Business Club: JA Titan and Stock Market Challenges start Thursday (1212), 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. in B-100. Win up to $200. Enjoy snacks while competing against your peers. Come to the Business Club meeting on Wednesday (12/11), for any further information.
Hudson Community First Youth Advisory Members will meet Wednesday (12/11), at 8:30 a.m. in C-212. Tell Mrs. Malerick if you cannot attend.
Attention Speech and Debate Team: Each team member is asked to bring 2 dozen cookies to the dance this Saturday! And don't forget to sign up for either set-up (starting at 3 p.m. Saturday), or tear-down, beginning immediately after the dance.
The High School Literary Magazine is looking for entries for the first edition. Deadline is December 15. Please submit your typed draft in the magazine folder in your English classroom.
The International Club will meet after school on Tuesday, December 17, in W-204.
The next meeting for members of the Business Club will be Wednesday (12/11), from 3- 4 p.m. in B-100. Our speaker series will begin!
The GSA will meet on Thursday (12/12), in A-202. New members are welcome. There will be food. Hope to see you there!

The Explorer newspaper staff will meet today after school in room B-102 for "Late Night" to publish the December issue of the paper. Plan to stay until 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday and be prepared to bring money for dinner and to stay later on Friday.
All Music Students who sold fruit or pastries are to pick them up Saturday morning between 9:00 a.m. and noon. All orders must be picked up!.
Any boys interested in trying out for the 2014 Boys' Tennis team in the spring, should attend a mandatory meeting on Wednesday (12/11), at 3:00 p.m. in room E-100.
There will be a meeting on Tuesday (12/10), for all Boys interested in Winter and Spring Track at 3:15 p.m. in room C-212.
Saturday Hoops' rosters and schedules are posted outside of room A - 216. .Play starts Saturday so be sure to check the start time of your game.
Important!!! If you have ANY early January college application deadline (Jan. 1-15), you MUST submit your transcript request form to the guidance office by the end of the day on Friday, December 13. Any questions or concerns, please see your counselor.

Anime Art Contest - Do you love drawing anime/manga? Then show off your skills by entering in the Hudson Library’s Anime Art Contest! Teens in grades 7 to 12 can submit their own original artwork based on anime, manga, video games, or fan art. All entries are due no later than Saturday, December 28th at 5:00 p.m. Entries will be displayed and judged during Hudson Library’s ToshoCon on Saturday, January 4th from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Prizes include gift cards to Hobby Lobby to stock up on art supplies! With the support of students, parents and staff, the Hudson PTO donated over $22,000 last year in grants, scholarships and awards.
