There is no school on Friday, April 18.  Classes will be in session on Monday, April 21. 

Attention All Seniors! 
We are raffling off the following three items for Prom:

  • 1. Tux Rental from Jabbours
  • 2. Hair updo/blow out and manicure from Lucia's the Salon on Main
  • 3. Corsage and Boutonniere from Molly Taylor designs.
  • Ticket costs are:  $1 per ticket or 6 tickets for $5.  Tickets will be sold Monday through Friday, (4/21-25), during all lunch periods next week by the Senior Atrium.  The drawing will be held on Friday after the last lunch period. 

The Senior Art Show will be held on Thursday (4/24), 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. and on Friday (4/25), periods 1 through 10, in C-40, Mrs. Huber's Art room, in the basement.  Be sure to stop down and see the awesome senior art work.  This truly is an amazing event!

Stop in at the Hudson Brueggers Bagels for a delicious meal or some bagels to go on Saturday! They are donating a portion of their proceeds on those days to the After Prom!  Please print the following flyer and present it to the cashier.  Thank you for your support!

Students, Parents and Guardians:  With the announcement of  June 5 as a make-up day, students should plan on the following:  Monday, June 2,  will be a regular day of instruction; exams follow Tuesday through Thursday, June 3 - 5! Graduating seniors are exempt from the make-up requirement.

Health and Wellness Club will meet Tuesday to discuss our upcoming contest and walking/jogging events with Fuel Up to Play 60.  Be there and get Fit! New members welcome! Meet in Mrs Hirsch's room C-113.   Advisers: Hirsch and Haney a winning combination!

An emergency Science Olympiad meeting will be after school today (4/17), in C-112.  Important forms will be picked up and signed for competition to States.

The winners of the Service Learning Carnival Baseball Throw are:   Eddie Testa, Sarah Platt, and Mrs. Kagafas.  Please see Mr. Bach in A-201 to claim your prize.  Thank you to all who participated.  As a school, we raised over $1400 for the Ubumi Orphanage.

All  National Art Honor Society members
who still need to complete your hours must see Mrs. Huber ASAP to see how you can help with the art show!  We need people to help!

Students!  Applications to run for Student Government will be accepted until 3:00 p.m. today!   Please turn them in to the Main Office.

Please consider participating in a new fundraiser for brain tumor research in honor of a senior at Western Reserve Academy.  A dinner and silent auction will be held on May 3 and a 5K run on May 4.  Look for details on flyers throughout the school.

The deadline for yearbook orders has been extended until April 18.  There is still time to order your yearbook. Mail the order to YearbookDirect or order online at  Extras will not be available in fall. This is your last chance to order a 2014 Hudson High School yearbook. Senior parents without a yearbook order have been sent a bright green post card. Wipe out your fine at the library has been extended through April.   Bring in a box of tissue in lieu of paying a fine.  Overdue books must be returned and lost books paid for to qualify. 


The Hudson Athletic Booster Club is conducting its annual mulch sales drive to support Hudson High School Athletics.  Mulch is available in bulk or bags for free delivery within Hudson City School Limits.  April 28 is the deadline for ordering bags of black mulch or Pine Bark Mini Nuggets (9 bags equals 1 yard) for delivery May 10 by Hudson Athletes.  Bags, like last year, are only $5 each for black mulch and $6 each for the Pine Bark Mini Nuggets.  You can order mulch in bulk (by truck) with a 5 yard minimum order.  Order early, but bulk orders can be ordered through June.  Orders can be taken by any Hudson Student Athlete, mailed to P.O. Seniors!  Be sure to check the lost of Seniors posted on the window of the Guidance office for those who have earned an Honors Diploma.  If there is a correction to the list, please tell someone in the Guidance Office.   Your verification will be needed on a variety of items before graduation.  Look for an email whenever additional lists/requests become available.  

An email was sent to parents via Naviance regarding completion of a scholarship information form. In order to be certain everyone is included, a scholarship form is available on the following link.  Be sure to complete and return this form to Guidance.  This information is collected and used for the Awards Ceremony and our school profile.  We ask that seniors be certain to check every list posted on the windows of the Guidance Office over the next few weeks for pertinent information.   Scholarship Form 2014

Seniors!    Be sure to pickup a senior activity sheet from the main office, yearbook room or a yearbook staff member. This is the list of activities that will appear next to your senior picture in the yearbook.  The deadline is by Thursday!  NO exceptions! Click here for a copy of the activity sheet.

Seniors!  Check the Guidance Office window for the Honors Diploma list.  If you feel there is a mistake please let the Guidance Office know.

The deadline to order your Class of 2014 T shirt has been extended until April 21.  Order forms are in the Main Office or you can click here.  Cost is $10 by cash or check.

Seniors who are enlisting in the military, have received a ROTC scholarship, or have been accepted into one of the military academies, please notify your guidance counselor.

Seniors!   Time to start turning in your baby picture  to be displayed on the After Prom  Baby Wall.  Remember:

  • Photos will not be returned
  • Size should be limited to 5X7
  • Put your name on the back of your picture
  • Drop them off in the box provided in the  Main Office by April 25


Juniors!  Join us in A-111 for a Senior/Junior Panel about selective schools, the military academy, and challenges associated with the college application process on Tuesday (4/22), during Explorer.

Students grades 9-11 who are interested in attending a military service academy can attend an informational session at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday (4/26), at Horizon Science Academy, 6000 Marginal Road, Cleveland.  RSVP to Sen. Sherrod Brown's Office at 216-522-7272.

Apply early to 2015 Young Arts Program at Emerging artists in grades 10-12 are eligible. Categories are cinema, dance, design, jazz, music, photography, theater, visual arts, voice and writing. The deadline is October 17, 2014.

Everyone thinks they are safe, but are you? 
On Monday, April 21, in the HHS media center come view an interactive display representing a teenager’s bedroom where drug and alcohol items are Hidden in Plain Sight, as well as an Internet Safety program, both presented by Copley and Bath Police Departments.   Hear John Galonski, Deputy Chief Assistant Prosecutor in Summit County share education and safety tips about how kids can be safe on the Internet.   The doors open at 6:15 p.m. and both programs run from 7-8 and 8-9, which will allow for folks to see one or both presentations.  This event is sponsored by Community of Concern a Community First Program.
