School Profile
The years of fourth and fifth grades find students engrossed in learning, much of it through hands-on activities. Eighteen fourth grade and eighteen fifth grade classroom teachers work in teams of two or three to deliver curriculum. By becoming used to more than one teacher in the classroom, students get prepared for changing classes each period at the Middle School.

East Woods School first opened as the Hudson Junior High School in 1965. An addition was built in 1971, and a natatorium in 1976. In 1992, the junior high/middle school was moved to the old high school building, and the school was renamed East Woods School in honor of an area of the original Ellsworth Farm on which the Central Campus stands.
