IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER
HCER offers students attending HCER after school programs, the opportunity to be escorted from their home school to the HCER program location by an HCER counselor. All students registered for an HCER after school program, must bring a note from their parent stating they will be attending the HCER after school class on each day of that class. This note should be given to their homeroom teacher, and should include the name of the activity and the location. Students will then be released to the gym to meet the HCER counselor and be escorted to the location of their particular class. This may be in their home school. East Woods, Evamere or McDowell schools. It is very important to notify HCER if your child will not be attending their scheduled class that day. This can be done by phone at 330-653-1210 or email: explorerzone@hudson.edu.

The program is designed to encourage children in grades 1st through the 6th to read and become familiar with their local libraries. Students may pick up a “Become a Legislator for the Day” bookmark at any participating library. Students must record five books they have read on the back of their bookmark and return it to the library by Saturday, June 8.
