Ellsworth Hill Elementary was built in September, 2007 and is the newest building belonging to Hudson City Schools. We currently house the district preschool program, 15 sections of second grade and the K-2 Autism Unit. We are very proud of what our building has to offer—a warm, kind, and loving environment where the learning process is fostered along with the individual growth of each and every student.
The average class size at Ellsworth Hill Elementary ranges from 21-23. During the school day, students enjoy the subjects of reading, writing, math, science and social studies. In addition, they participate in physical education, art, music and library twice weekly. Students also can access our state-of-the-art computer lab during the school year. Lastly, students participate in “Choice Time” where they get to choose an enrichment class related to physical education, gym, art, technology, and in some cases performing arts.
We are very proud of our school and what we provide our students to help them be successful learners and productive, respectful citizens.
