October 12thHudson Fire Department Annual Fire Safety Open House, Sunday Oct. 14, 1-4 p.m.

The Hudson Fire Department will hold its Annual Fire Safety Open House on Sunday, October 14 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at the Hudson Safety Center. Live demonstrations will take place including the adult use of a fire extinguisher, Jaws of Life, Aerial Rescue, Rope Team and Mock Response. Tours of EMS and the Safety Trailer will take place along with refreshments and free photos. Exchange your mercury thermometer for a digital thermometer. There are lots of other things to see, learn and do.

Some demonstrations are weather dependent. Throughout the event there will be opportunities to squirt the hose, see the Ice Rescue Equipment, have BP checks and ambulance tours, dress small children in little Fire Fighter turn out gear, see sparky the fire dog and get up close to many vehicles.
