|October 9th||27 Hudson High School Students Earn National Merit Recognition|
Twenty-seven Hudson High School students are being recognized as National Merit Scholars. The National Merit Corporation recognizes individual students who scored exceeding high on their PSAT exams taken in their junior year. Semifinalists have the opportunity to continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships. About 1.5 million juniors in some 22,000 high schools enter the National Merit Scholarship program. Hudson High School is pleased to announce its Semifinalists, Commended and Outstanding Participant students in the competition. They are as follows: Semifinalists, Karthik Bolisetty, Connie Gan, Madeline Lowalski, Mir Lim, Grace Lu, Ruidi Lu, Erin Maier, Ivy Shi, Aaron Tian and Alan Zhang; Commended, Mary Casey, John Douglass, Jiakung Feng, Kathryn Field, Colin Hogan, Darwin Huang, Mircea Lazar, Ryan Lichtenberger, Angela Liu, Chase Matecun, Sean Newby, Ryan Niemocienski, Margaret Osthues, David Selinger, Zachary Teed and Sydney Bender; Outstanding Participant, Lauren Barnett.
