Lean To Draw (For Teens & Adults)
Instructor: Paul Adams
A class for beginner to intermediate artists from teens through senior citizens. Students will learn the difference between drawing and sketching as well as the principles of composition, line, valve, shading and perspective. Starting with basic shapes and building into figures. NOTE: Please bring a 16 X 20 sketch pad, HB & 3B pencils and kneaded eraser. Limit 12.

Instructor: Jeanne Hromco, mosaic shard artist
This art form uses crockery shards and found materials to decorate objects. Have fun using a hammer to smash plates, cups or used pottery and learning the techniques to apply the pieces to tables, mirrors, vases, flowerpots or surfaces of your choice. Learn to create your own designs, grout colors and artwork for your home or garden. Material list will be given and discussed at the first class. Limit 12.

Silk Painting
Instructor: Janice Lombardo
Try something different. This informative and fun class is open to all ages and skill levels. You will choose and paint one of six types of 12" by 60" silk scarves, learn how silk dyes are applied, resist techniques and more. Scarves are steamed at the end of class to take home. Be sure to wear old clothes, comfortable shoes and bring a bag lunch. Min. 6. Max. 12.

Watercolor Painting
Instructor: Gretchen Bierbaum, BA, MA
Have you always wanted to try painting? Watercolor is one of the most efficient visual arts media to use for exploration. It is fast, clean and relatively inexpensive. You can use the instructor's supplies for $2 per class during this session, or just pay tuition and bring your own watercolors. You will learn the wide range of techniques by completing a different painting subject in each class. The instructor's step-by-step demonstrations allow you to learn without taking notes, and there is no homework required! Limit 10.
