T-Birds t-ball: A fun and highly instructional introduction to baseball for 3 and 4 year olds. Players learn the basics of throwing, catching, fielding, batting, and base running, and then apply what they have learned in fun, non-competitive games. Sessions are one hour long, one day per week, and include all instruction and game play in one outing. Sessions will be held on Saturdays (9/6 - 10/25) from 12:30 p.m. - 1:30 p.m. Some sessions may be held from 1:30 - 2:30. Team rosters and schedules will be e-mailed in late August. Rookie League Baseball: A fun introduction to coach pitch baseball for 5 and 6 year olds. Players will receive instruction in all basics of the sport, and will apply what they have learned in fun games. The games will be non-competitive and no score will be kept, but hits and outs will be recorded as they are in older coach pitch programs. Players who are not able to hit a pitched ball will be able to use a tee while learning. Six year olds who are experienced in this level of play may choose to play in the more advanced coach pitch program (see the "Minor League" description below). Rookie League sessions are 1 hours long and include all instruction and game play. Sessions will be held on Saturday afternoons (9/6 - 10/25) from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. or from 2:30 - 4:00 p.m.. Minor League Baseball: Coach pitch baseball for 6-8 year olds. The concentration of this program will be recreational game play with instruction implemented within the context of the game. Games will be low level competition as no score will be kept, but players will get hits, make outs, and score runs. An inning consists of three outs or five runs (whichever comes first). 6 year olds may choose to play in the more instructional Rookie League (see above). 8 year olds may choose to play in the more competitive "Major Leagues" (see below). "Major League" Baseball: Recreational "kid pitch" baseball for 8 - 10 year olds. Little League kid pitch baseball rules will be used in this fun and instructional program. Children in grades K-5 will have a blast learning the basics of football, receive an NFL replica jersey, and play fun, low competition games under adult supervision. New this year, all coaches will receive a wide-ranging coaching training program implemented by The Edge Sports Performance Academy. Each coach will receive a detailed practice plan, an offensive and defensive playbook, extensive information and support regarding communicating with players and parents, and an introduction to the Coaching 4 Life game plan for building character and teaching life lessons to players within the context of a sports season. The improved organization, training, and support for coaches will mean a more meaningful experience for all players. Parents who participate in the coaching will receive these benefits at no additional charge.

HCER and the Hudson Kiwanis Club are teaming up to offer the 29th Annual Hudson Youth Basketball Program for boys and girls in grades 1 to 8. This program is integrated with the Hudson Schools Basketball program and works as a feeder program for the same. The emphasis is on individual skill and team development. Unique features of this program include coaches clinics offered by HS Varsity BB Coaches, Post season tournament, Super Sunday televised championship games, travel teams for appropriate grade levels, KSU clinic and game, guest night at a Hudson varsity game, team and individual photos, etc. With the exception of the grade 1-2 division, each week there is one designated team practice night for each team and one Saturday game. Volunteer adult coaches who are supported by League Directors, Kiwanis BB Committee and HCER office team form the leadership core for this top notch program.

Player evaluations will be Saturday, October 11 for grades 3-6. Coaches will contact their respective players on Sunday, October 19 to advise of first practice and parent-player team meeting. After pre-season practice, a season of games will be played beginning on Saturday, November 1. The season will conclude with an exciting post season single elimination tournament that begins on Jan. 31.
Player evaluations for Grades 7-8 will be Saturday, Nov. 1 with team practices beginning the week of Nov. 4, and first game is set for Saturday, November 8. Make-up times for players who miss the regular evaluation will be Sunday, Nov. 2, but each player must be evaluated before team placement is granted. Players who miss the primary evaluation session might be required to miss the first regular season game.

League 3-4 & 5-6 will have player evaluations on Sat. Oct. 11, and coaches will notify players by phone on Sunday, Oct 19 to confirm team placement. The first practice will be Monday, Oct. 20. Designed for boys in grades K-8th, this three week program introduces participants to the sport of wrestling. Over a series of six, 1.5 hour sessions, participants are exposed to basic wrestling skills and techniques, The rate of instruction is specifically geared to accommodate 1st year and novice wrestlers. At the end of the six session program, participants who have an interest in continuing their wrestling development are encouraged to register for the Team Kratos Novice Youth Wrestling Program.

This program provides advanced skill instruction and conducts personalized match reviews through use of video recording equipment.. Participants are provided ample opportunities to test their mettle against more seasoned wrestlers from neighboring youth wrestling programs as well as compete in open wrestling tournaments to include the Grade School Districts/State Wrestling Championships..

This popular program includes five lessons, lift tickets and transportation. After five sessions, student may continue to ski weekly until season is over during the designated time slot. Skier will receive 3 open lift passes if registered by 11/5. A safety proficiency test is required and ski tags are marked accordingly so students can ski only slopes for which they are rated. Parents must complete the tri-fold registration form required by Boston Mills/Brandywine.
